WHAT IS A CALLIGRAPHIC FAMILY TREE?
A calligraphic family tree is a piece of heritage. It makes for a deeply personal gift. Handcrafted in Indian ink and gouache on parchment card or watercolour paper, it’s a perfect present for your family. They can be simple or as complex as you want. The creation of a calligraphic family tree can be time consuming but well worth the wait, as you will work with a calligrapher and help shape your finished work. Inscriptions in family Bibles and Wedding albums are also available.

Researching your ancestors is a fascinating pastime and what better way to highlight your work than with a fabulous family tree? Mark a special birthday, ideal for that someone who is difficult to buy for, celebrate a wedding or the birth of a child. These landmark events make us who we are. Duplicate copies can be created at the same time as the original or digital proofs available to give to other members of the family.
PRICES
Each tree is a unique document and so it is very difficult to give a standard price. It very much depends on the amount of information you want to include (names, biographical detail, illustrations and additional information). I am happy to provide you with a no obligation quote for all work.

WHAT TO DO NEXT?
Please get in contact to discuss your requirements including design, style and other elements. I will first produce an initial digital proof for you to check with required amends. Based on your feedback, further proofs are created and the final proof is signed off and the creation of the finished family tree in calligraphy is completed. Please ensure that you check all the proofs very carefully. I work exactly from your supplied information and errors are difficult to correct but I will continue with the proofing until you are completely happy before I go on to produce the final work. 50% deposit is required to book your work slot and the remainder paid on completion.
